With a heart full of joy and excitement The Mayan proudly announces the collaboration with the one and only Psy-Fi Festival where she will facilitate a Conscious Movement Workshop!

Conscious Movement is a method created by the founder of The Mayan, Melissa Karagöz.

Combining dance, somatic practices, breathwork, mediation, techno music and voice liberation in a powerful workshop to fully accept, express, allow and alchemize the emotion of Anger.

Anger is an emotion we tend to push away as it is not a socially acceptable emotion to express and we often times don't have the tools to express it in a health way.

The emotion produces a biochemical reaction in the body which with anger triggers the release of the stress hormones Adrenaline, Noradrenaline and Cortisol. This keeps the body in a constant state of fight or flight and comes with health risks such as:

Chronic high cortisol → inflammation, weakened immune system, hormonal imbalance
High blood pressure
Tension headaches or digestive issues
Disrupted sleep and adrenal fatigue
Dysregulation of emotional processing and poor nervous system recovery

This is why The Mayan invites you on a journey of self discovery, innerhealing and liberation to release your stored anger
